On September 17th and 18th numerous cannabis brands and professionals traveled to Santa Rosa, CA for the much anticipated Hall of Flowers Premium Cannabis Expo. The Sonoma County Fair Grounds were full of the industry’s top professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovative brands showcasing their latest products and technology.
Entering the halls, guests were greeted with gorgeous photography of cannabis by Alex Maeland, and canvas tote bags from HOF. Kingston Coffee kept guests caffeinated with free coffee throughout the two day show, and their cold brew Churro coffee was out of this world. Walking down the halls, it was easy to notice the amount of thought and creativity that went into this expo. All of the booths contained prebuilt shelving structures for exhibitors to uniformly display their products, instead of distracting booth setups. The aisles were packed with industry professionals eager to see what brands were offering.
Be Lit Brand was situated at booth #219 near the entrance of the hall, and had a plethora of new products on display. The cannabis apparel featured brand new designs like the popular 3D Bud Leaf T-Shirt with a super soft texture and vibrant colors. Four new hat designs were a huge hit including the Camo Leaf Snapback and the Acid Wash 5-Panel hats. Also introduced were the fresh Mid-Calf socks in Camo, Half-Tone, and Acid Wash complete with “Too Lit To Quit” on the feet. Be Lit apparel is sold in smoke shops and dispensaries across the US as well as a few international locations as well.
Possibly the best smelling booth at HOF, Be Lit Brand was stocked with 16 hand dipped Litcense Incense scents, and 3 different soy based wax American made candle lines. The booth was Lit! The Be Lit rolling trays were popular at HOF, with unique designs, five different size offerings, and the option of 100% bamboo trays and stations at an affordable price. Many dispensaries opted for the custom rolling tray addition, looking to put their own logo or design on a rolling tray to sell in store or as promotional giveaways, and build their brand. Multiple media sources and industry influencers stopped by the Be Lit Brand booth including High Times, Madzilla, and Gary Vee & VaynerMedia to name a few.
Walking deeper into the Hall of Flowers Expo, guests would have encountered ping pong tables, a kiosk giving out free Molly Water to keep attendees and exhibitors fully hydrated, and the outdoor consumption area. A grassy space with bean bags surrounding an art structure with the bright HOF orange colors, food trucks with dank eats, and community style tables for business to be conducted and flower to be smoked. Hanging outside felt similar to a mini festival – curated with art, a live DJ, and places to roll your weed. Even the wristbands that HOF gave their guests had a Coachella/Bonnaroo vibe instead of a typical “buyer” or “exhibitor” badge most trade shows dole out. Having simple colored wristbands allowed for more organic conversations to develop with the common goal of providing solutions and innovations for businesses. The consumption area was also stocked with free Be Lit rolling trays and Lucky Buddha Bottles, as well as other accessories, vapes, and prerolls, various cannabis brands, as well as topicals from Apothecanna.
The first day of Hall of Flowers had a special “buzz” in the air, with all attendees and exhibitors patiently awaiting the keynote speaker for the evening, Gary Vaynerchuk – an early investor of Uber and Facebook, as well as CEO of VaynerMedia. Even though the room was packed, it felt like an intimate session with Gary, as he discussed the upcoming explosion the cannabis industry is about to experience. He touched on topics of how the industry and culture around it is evolving, and even made a direct comparison to the alcohol prohibition. After speaking, he opened up the floor for a Q&A with guests. Hall of Flowers combined lifestyle with business, and they did it very well. Every detail was thought through from free parking, generous samples and welcome bags, free gourmet coffee, complimentary WiFi, and even a free ice cream cart for attendees and guests. HOF promised to deliver a unique business to business industry exclusive trade show experience, and they nailed it.
